Students Get Into The Swing Of A Barstow Tradition

Some of Barstow’s youngest students and the senior class celebrated the start of new and lasting friendships this week. The Kindergarten-Senior Buddies program brings students together for activities throughout the school year.
On Monday, September 17, seniors met their new buddies on the lower school playground. During the school year, they’ll go on scavenger hunts together, create art projects, read books and have an end-of-the-year party.

At each monthly meeting, seniors pass down Barstow traditions and model “the symmetrical development of mind, body and character” that defines our school’s mission. Kindergarten students see school values such as leadership, inclusiveness and lifelong learning in action—and they have a lot of fun. A campus that includes learners from preschool through grade 12 is one of Barstow’s most unique benefits.
