Support

Thank you for your generous support of The Barstow School! Families choose Barstow for our innovative academics, varied extracurricular activities and inclusive community. We are stronger together. We are building together. And in 2022-2023, we are driving forward together.

The Barstow Fund

Driving Forward

Alumni, families, faculty and friends of the school are all part of a vibrant community that supports Barstow's mission "to promote sound scholarship and to give symmetrical development to mind, body and character."
The Barstow Fund plays an important part in sustaining that mission. Gifts of every amount help us provide the area's most innovative independent school education, while also allowing us to improve our State Line campus and add programs and spaces that enhance the Barstow experience.
As we mark sixty years on State Line Road, the need for another campus access point is imperative. This year, all gifts to The Barstow Fund will support Driving Forward, the campaign for a second driveway.
The project's projected cost is $2 million. An anonymous donor will match each gift dollar-for-dollar through March 31, 2023.

FAQ

List of 4 frequently asked questions.

  • Why are gifts to The Barstow Fund important after I’ve already paid tuition?

Your tax-deductible gift helps make up the difference between tuition revenue and the actual cost of running the school. This is critical because tuition covers about 80% of the cost of educating a child at Barstow. Your gift supports the school’s ability to maintain small class sizes, retain world-class faculty and bolster the programs and traditions that define the Barstow experience.
  • How much should I give to The Barstow Fund?

All gifts of all sizes make a difference. We ask only that you make a gift that is meaningful to your family.
  • When do I need to make my gift?

You can make your gift whenever it’s right for your family. All gifts must be received on or before June 30 to be included in the current fiscal year.
  • Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. One hundred percent of your gift to The Barstow Fund is tax deductible. The Barstow School is a nonprofit educational organization, a 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. A tax letter will be sent upon receiving your donation.
