Singers Add Voices to Honor Choir
Two Barstow students will perform with a highly selective honor choiir at a regional conference in Denver on Saturday, March 2.
Deuce Chanos, grade 8, and Chetan Thomas, senior, will log more than twenty hours with the Southwestern American Choral Directors Association Honor Choir before performing at the Denver Center of Performing Arts. The students traveled with middle and upper school Music Director Dr. Josh Markley.
The SWADAC Conference includes Masterclass session for students and choir directors, competitions and performances by choirs from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Selection to the elite honor choirs is based on highly competitive audtions that took place last fall.
