Coaches Suit Up to Fight Cancer
Lower school recreational basketball teams and coaches dedicated weekend games to the fight against cancer.
During Coaches vs. Cancer "Suits And Sneakers Week," basketball coaches across the country join the the effort to end cancer through research and raising awareness.
On Saturday, Jan. 27, third grade coach Matt Thurman and first grade coach Ashlee Yager followed suit — upping their courtside attire and pairing the looks with their sharpest sneakers. Players were part of the game plan, too. They played for family and friends or organizations involved in the fight against cancer.
