PARK HILL DOUBLES TOURNAMENT

The boys tennis team traveled to Park Hill South for an areas doubles tournament. Four Barstow doubles teams competed in the 8 school tournament.  The Knights finished the day with a record of 3-1.  In the morning match against Lee’s Summit, the boys won 3-1 with victories at #1 by King and Reiland, at #2. By Justis and Colombo, at #4 by Dendi and Herwig and a tough tiebreaker loss by Jack Hanson and Ajay Guduputi.  In the second match the Knights defeated Blue Springs 4-3 with Hanson and Guduputi picking up their first varsity doubles victory, 8-3.  In the third match the boys played a tough Park Hill South team, with the only win at #1 doubles.  Richey King and Sunil Reiland defeated a solid doubles pair, 8-5.

In the fourth and final match of the day, the Knights played Blue Springs South, 2-2,  but won the tiebreaker (total games 25-22).  

Colombo and Justis won 8-4 with their best tennis of the day and King and Reiland moved their doubles recorded to 8-0 on the season with an 8-2 win.  

Both the Varsity and JV travel to Blue Springs South tomorrow for a dual.
