Winners Named in Annual Essay Contest
Once again, young writers have earned awards in the annual essay contest sponsored by Daughters of the American Revolution.
In grade 5, Ada Robinson wrote the winning essay for the Mission Hills chapter on the topic of John Philip Sousa's "The Stars and Stripes Forever" composition. Brendan Samartino wrote the winning essay for grade 6. Winners will be honored at a luncheon on February 19, and their essays will be submitted to the statewide contest.
