Middle School Debate Ends the Season with a Win
Middle school debate finished the season with a first-place victory in Student Congress at the annual Debate-Kansas City Championship on Saturday, March 11.
Duha Azaz was named City Champion after winning the final congress session, which featured a mock emergency scenario.
The tournament was held Saturday, March 11, at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a dozen area middle schools competed. Nine Barstow students advanced to the Student Congress finals, and five placed in the top ten.
