Prestigious luxury motor brand Aston Martin entered the SUV market for the first time in their 108-year history.

For the first time in the history of the company, Aston Martin has unveiled a four-door crossover known as the DBX. Originally announced back in June of 2020, this addition was a leap forward for the company as it allowed them to finally compete in the most lucrative sector of the vehicle industry. It has already emerged as one of the main competitors of the Lamborghini Uris, Rolls Royce Cullinan, and the Bentley Bentayga.

Although still in the pre-production phase, the DBX is one of the most luxurious and well-crafted SUVs that money can buy, starting at $176,000. The DBX comes equipped with a 4.0 Liter Mercedes-made V8 engine that boasts over 542 horsepower and over 516-pound feet of torque. This feature allows the vehicle to have a 0-60 time of just 4.3 comfortable seconds and run the quarter in just 11.7 seconds.

With only one trim option to choose from Aston Martin really narrowed down options with their SUV endeavor, having only one trim to choose from opens the ability to further focus on minor details such as the coloring of the stitching on the seats. Or the material that is used to cover the dashboard. This attention to detail is where Aston Martin thrives, through their 100-year history they have built a reputation on excellence and reliability.
The interior is reminiscent of the classic design Aston Martin uses in its sportier cars such as the DB11, DBS, and the Vantage. Most parts and switches, including the infotainment, are borrowed from Mercedes but are adapted to the DBX’s specifications. This import of shared products allows the company to focus on one of its main selling points, which is sheer quality.

Aston Martin is known to make very well-crafted and seamless cars and with the new addition of the DBX, customers expect no less. Set to be delivered in July of this year, overall, the DBX makes an impressive entry for Aston Martin into the SUV market. The Aston Martin DBX sets a new benchmark for luxury performance SUVs right out of the box.
