La Merced Visitors Sample Everything Barstow
On campus and around Kansas City, students from our partner school in Argentina have experienced learning, language immersion and life as a Barstow student in an all-school cultural exchange.
Students and their faculty chaperone from La Merced have enjoyed all that the school and community has to offer during their two-week stay with host families.
On campus, they hosted their own BTVN newscast, made friends with kindergarten students and attended upper school classes. Outside of the school, the students went to several different activities including the Renaissance Festival, football and hockey games and other tourist attractions.
Barstow is larger than their home school, but the visitors noted that our small class sizes foster relationships with faculty members that enhance students' education. Their visit continues through Thursday, Oct. 24.
