Mid-MO Tournament Round 3

The boys tennis team finished off a week of some high level competition with a 7-2 victory over Hickman of Columbia in the Mid MO Tournament.  The doubles team of Richey King and Sam Colombo got it started with a convincing 8-1 doubles victory at #1.  At #2 doubles, Sunil Reiland and Matthew Justis did the same with an 8-5 win and in his first varsity match of his career freshman Faizan Khalid teamed with senior Jordan Herwig fought from behind, but came up just short, losing  6-8.  

In singles, freshman Richey King dominated in his 8-0 victory and sophomore Sunil Reiland played well with an 8-1 win.  At #3 singles, Sam Colombo used some strong serves and baseline game to pick off an 8-3 win and Jordan Herwig at #4 did the same with an 8-2 win.  Matthew Justis used his strong lefty serve to punch out an 8-3 win.  Congratulations to freshmen Faizan Khalid and Sidd Jasti who picked up their first varsity experience of their young tennis careers.
