Senior Day at Barstow
The Barstow girls tennis team took on the Large Class undefeated Broncos from Lee's Summit North on Monday and lost 1-8. The one bright spot occurred at #1 singles. Junior Anya Stanojevic took on a strong #1 singles opponent from LSN and combined her best serving night of the year with a strong, confident offensive baseline game. Anya moved her opponent around taking the steam out her lob game and forcing her opponent to bang with her. Anya's steady baseline game resulted in a dominating 8-1 win.

The team took the opportunity following the match to honor our three seniors, Mira Gupta, Emilia Prier and Duha Azaz. Mira has been with the squad 3 years and Emilia and Duha 4 years. These three girls have contributed so much to the program, with Emilia and Duha playing significant roles in the Barstow 2024 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP run in 2024.
All six varsity girls participate Thursday in the District 7 Individual District Tournament at Belton High School.
