Oz-Themed Book Fair Features Local Authors
Lower school students explored new stories and met local authors during this year’s Wizard of Oz-themed Book Fair, held Monday through Friday, Feb. 23–27.
The Book Fair was made possible through Barstow’s partnership with Rainy Day Books. On Monday evening, families gathered for a special family night featuring local authors Jill McDonald, John Hare and Ann Rellihan, who signed books and visited with students.
Throughout the week, lower school classes visited the fair during their library time to browse and shop. Signed books from all three visiting authors remained available for purchase all week.
Lower school students celebrated the book fair with a spirit week, with different Wizard of Oz-themed outfits all week long.
