Community Celebrates Together at Culture Fest

The Barstow community came together for Culture Fest on Sunday, Feb. 1, a celebration of global traditions shared through food, art, music and more.
Culture Fest features Barstow students and families sharing their culture, heritage and traditions with the community. This year, 25 families hosted tables that highlighted art, food, clothing and customs while inviting visitors to explore and learn.

Seven Barstow student organizations also participated with tables of their own, including the Asian American Pacific Islander Association (AAPIA), Black Student Union (BSU), French Honor Society, Jewish Student Union (JSU), Latino Student Union (LSU), Muslim Student Association (MSU) and South Asian Student Association (SASA).

Early childhood and lower school students contributed by sharing their favorite family traditions through a display in the COVE, which visitors could walk through during the event. More than 600 visitors attended Culture Fest this year.
