Kindergarten-Senior Buddy Tradition Continues

The annual kindergarten-senior buddy tradition kicked off this week with the first activity, a scavenger hunt around Barstow.
Following clues, students found their way to campus locations such as the senior circle, the BTVN studio and the portrait of the school’s founder, Mary Louise Barstow, near the lobby.

At the beginning of each school year, kindergartners are paired with a buddy from the senior class. These students get to know each other throughout the year as they meet every few weeks for activities and games. The two classes are recognized at a program and reception with family and friends in April, where they reflect on the seniors’ Barstow journeys that are coming to an end, and the future Barstow experiences that await the kindergarten class.
