"Blue Friday" Builds to Sporting KC Barstow Night

The community celebration begins with a special "Blue Friday" on campus on Aug. 28. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to wear Sporting blue — or to dress as Coach Ted Lasso from the Apple TV show. Why? Because not only is Aug. 29 Barstow Night at Sporting Kansas City; it's also Apple TV Ted Lasso Night! Sporting KC will feature themed activities and entertainment inspired by the hit show inside and outside the stadium.

Barstow activities will begin on the stadium plaza at 5:30 p.m. with games, demonstrations and music.  School faculty and staff from IDEA Space will be on hand to greet current and potential families and show off some of our innovative programs. 

Pre-match ceremonies inside the stadium will feature Barstow President and Head of School Art Hall leading the official coin toss alongside special Barstow Knights guests. The Kansas City-Vancouver match begins at 7:30 p.m. and the excitement continues at halftime with special entertainment showcasing Barstow faculty and seniors on the pitch.
