Middle school debaters continued their season on Thursday, Nov. 19, with another online tournament hosted by DEBATE-Kansas City. Of ten places available to students in the competition, Barstow earned seven of them — including a pair of first place finishes.
Nine students received medals for earning high scores in the National French Contest exam last spring. Madame Coventry gave students their awards and certificates during a brief and blustery ceremony in the Senior Circleon Monday, Nov. 9
Four senior athletes will continue their athletic careers at the college level in 2021. Brylee Glenn, Jaelyn Glenn, Kiyley Flowers, and Sage Holmes signed collegiate letters of intent on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
The Barstow School created the Committee on Inclusion, Diversity and Equity in mid-June. The school’s formal review of diversity began during the 2019-2020 school year, when a subcommittee of the President’s Council began examining diversity at our school and set the stage for our current Committee on Inclusion, Diversity and Equity.
Though our campus remains closed to all but essential staff, we are working to welcome students back for the 2020-2021 school year. At this time, we plan to resume teaching and learning on campus on Aug. 20.
