Fifth graders in the National Elementary Art Honor Society painted and installed a “buddy bench” on the lower school playground, a place where students can sit if they’re looking for someone to spend time with at recess.
Lower school celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a flamenco performance this week. Hispanic Heritage Month is observed Sept. 15–Oct. 15, to recognize and celebrate Hispanic history and culture.
On Monday, Jan. 19, students across divisions gathered at Barstow to participate in an annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, organized by the Barstow Parent Association and the Inclusion, Diversity and Equity committee.
Sixteen upper school students representing the National Chinese Honor Society and the Asian-American Pacific Islander Club sampled the art and culture of Asia on Thursday, Feb. 12.
