Barstow Students Selected to Youth Policy Lab
Four Barstow students have been selected to participate as youth leaders in Activate MO’s Youth Policy Lab in Kansas City. Activate MO is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization focused on educating and uplifting families and youth leaders across Missouri.
Seniors Quincy Stribling, Rachel Morgan and Leo Karaichev and junior Addi Huff applied for the opportunity after learning about it from College Counseling Director Scott Hill. As part of the Youth Policy Lab, they will drive “get out the vote” efforts ahead of the November election and survey students to learn about what matters to Kansas City-area youth.
Through the Youth Policy Lab, Quincy, Rachel, Leo and Addi will have a chance to hear from other Kansas City-area students and bring their perspectives into the work of the group. Their participation will help them empower other young people to contribute to conversations about their communities.
