Cheerleaders Sharpen Skills Ahead of Season
Barstow's varsity cheerleading team kicked off the year with a weekend clinic on Saturday, Aug. 29 and Sunday, Aug. 30.
Over two sessions, the team worked with KPC Cheer to learn new cheers, jumps, dances, stunting and even their first pyramid.
The cheerleading team has 28 members this year. Their next appearance will be at the Harvest Festival pep assembly on Friday, Sept. 25 where they will demonstrate one of their new dances. The cheerleaders will also cheer at all home basketball games throughout the season.
