After an impressive showing at the Greater Kansas City Regional Competition in early April, Barstow’s robotics team, FRC 1939 the Kuhnights, traveled to Houston, Texas this week to compete in the First Robotics World Championship.
The competition began on Wednesday, April 29 and will conclude on Saturday, May 3.
After an enthusiastic sendoff from their peers, the team departed for Houston to compete alongside teams from 16 countries and 43 states. The team visited Space Center Houston on Wednesday before the tournament’s practice matches began. All teams will compete in qualifying matches throughout Thursday and Friday, with playoffs and awards ceremonies scheduled for Saturday.
