BTVN Students Get Play-by-Play From Royals Announcer
Kansas City Royals broadcaster Ryan Lefebvre visited BTVN students on Thursday, Nov. 6, to share his experiences and insights from more than two decades in sports broadcasting.
Lefebvre has been a play-by-play announcer for the Kansas City Royals since 1999, providing commentary for both television and radio audiences across Kansas City. Before beginning his broadcasting career, he played collegiate baseball at the University of Minnesota, and also spent a season in the Cleveland Indians minor league system. He broadcast TV and cable for the Minnesota Twins from 1995-1998.
His visit offered students a firsthand look at the world of professional sports media and broadcasting. Students had the opportunity to hear directly from a professional about the skills and dedication required to pursue a career in sports and media, connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences.
