Freaky Friday! Halloween Haunts Barstow Hallways

The Barstow community celebrated Halloween throughout the week with colorful costumes, creative projects and sweet treats.
The week began with Barstow’s annual Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, Oct. 26. Families transformed their vehicles into themed displays, with awards presented for the best designs:

Best Overall: Batman, the Prier family
Most Interactive: Sesame Street, the Garbos family
Best Upper School: Harry Potter, sophomore class
Best Middle School: K-Pop Demon Hunters, the Coddon family

Festivities continued in all divisions throughout the week. On Thursday, Oct. 29, freshmen and seniors met for a Halloween cookie decorating and team building activity. Fifth graders decorated plastic pumpkins to represent literary characters, which were displayed in the front lobby.

On Friday, Oct. 31, early childhood and lower school students participated in the annual Halloween Parade, walking through the hallways and around the front circle to share their costumes with classmates, teachers and families. Afterwards, everyone was invited to the auditorium for a performance by members of the middle and upper school choirs.
