Students Present Spring Music Programs

Students from upper, middle and lower school gave this year’s final music performances this week.
Upper and middle schoolers presented their music program Wednesday evening. The program included songs from the instrumental ensemble directed by Dr. Elizabeth Birger. The sixth grade performing arts class choir and the Barstow Singers, both directed by Dr. Josh Markley, performed as well. In addition, individual members of these groups presented several solo and duet numbers throughout the evening. Seniors Dylan Markey and Chetan Thomas, along with junior Ethan Brunell-Wright, were recognized for awards earned this year for their skills, talents and achievements in music.

The first and second grade music program took place Thursday morning directed by Kristi Mitchell. Students sang songs from well known children’s stories including the Wizard of Oz, Winnie the Pooh and Toy Story. After the performance, students and parents gathered for a reception in the dining hall. See more photos here.
