Third Graders Share Memories at Mini Golf
Family members of third graders were invited to IDEA Space on Thursday, May 2, for a game of mini golf on a course designed and built themselves by students themselves.
The course, set up in the IDEA Space Commons, was made up of holes and obstacles inspired by some of the students' favorite memories from third grade. Some were inspired by academic subjects such as math, science and reading, with players hitting balls around books or fractions of a pizza. Other memories included the lower school musical "Finding Nemo," Idiom Day and March Book Madness. After playing through the course, third graders showed off their math skills by making bar graphs from the data on their score sheets.
