Young Readers Share Holiday Traditions
Lower school librarian Beth Hafner is helping students share holiday traditions through literature and storytelling, including the recent celebration of Diwali.
Beth Hafner loves sharing her passion for learning and different cultures with her students. This passion led her to make informative and interactive lessons about different holidays and celebrations worldwide.
Her most recent lesson was about Diwali where she shared the history and read different books.
During her class discussions, students shared that they celebrate these traditions at home with their families. "I loved that students were proud of their culture and wanted to share with their classmates," Beth said. "What better way to learn than to have the students share their experiences with one another."
