Science Bowl Teams Compete in St. Louis
On Saturday, March 4, two teams of middle school students represented Barstow at the Missouri Regional Middle School Science Bowl Competition hosted at Washington University in St. Louis.
The competition featured 10 Missouri schools and over 18 teams. Barstow Team 1 featuring Vaishnav Nair, AliAkbar Khumri, Varen Kolli and Zahra Khumri won all five rounds in the Round Robin event and moved on to the Double Elimination rounds to earn 4th place at the regional competition. Barstow Team 2 featuring Sarthak Pandey, Diya Krishnan, Akash Tejwani and Daiwik Ganesh won three out of five rounds in the Round Robin event.
