Mathletes Win Western MO Competition
Middle school mathletes earned top honors at the Western Missouri MathCounts competition on Saturday, Feb. 4.
The middle school math club built upon the successes of the speech team by winning the Western Missouri Mathcounts Chapter competition.
The math club won 6 of the top 10 scores.
Maaz Hawa: 10th place individual score
Vaishnav Nair: 9th place individual score
Anya Reddy: 5th place individual score
John McKinney:4th place individual score
Lawton Satterwhite: 3rd place individual score
Adit Reddy: 1st place individual score
Lawton Satterwhite: Countdown Round Champion
Maaz, Anya, John and Lawton: Team Round Champions
The Barstow School: Competition Champion
Seventh grader Sonia Akkulugari and sixth grader Tarek Tuffaha also made huge contributions to the team's success. With this win, the math club team advances to state championships next month.
