District Meet was a success
Isa Welty and Luke Whitfill are headed to state!
The Knights did not disappoint on Saturday, during their District Meet! We had a great day running and advancing to STATE! Freshman, Isa Welty, finishing 19th and Senior, Luke Whitfill, finishing 10th, will be representing Barstow at the State meet on Saturday, November 6th. The top 30 individuals from each district qualify for the State meet in Columbia, MO.
Honorable mention goes to Lukas Brodrick, finishing 37th, and Moira Fink, finishing 44th. Both worked extremely hard this entire season, and we continue to be impressed with their work ethic, grit, and level of sportsmanship.
In just 13 weeks, each of you has made tremendous physical, personal, and mental gains, not to mention you have set the expectation for future cross-country seasons! There is a buzz throughout the building about cross country like never before, and I take every single opportunity to brag about this team.
I'm grateful all of you stuck it out this season, even when the workouts were hard, or I was annoyed and grumpy, (you guys talk soooooo much), or you were annoyed and grumpy, (with me) for making you finish all of those hard workouts!
The season can feel long sometimes, but you guys make it worth it! The future is bright for the Knights, and I'm honored to be a part of this team!
