It took three sets to finally "put the last nail in the coffin" in Barstow's victory over a very talented Pembroke Hill volleyball team. In second set action, Barstow was able to rally back after spotting the Pembroke girls a first set win, 18-25. Barstow's libero, Lia Levin, and Barstow's outside hitter, Sydney Westphal both were able to combine "top-notch" serving execution and score the last 10 points for Barstow--each with 5 points--and secure a Barstow second set win by a score of 25-11. In the third set, it was Barstow's Alexis Schroeder and Adele Muir, setting the pace with several key "kills" in this contest. And, to help in Barstow's front ling attack, Barstow was able to use the strong serving talents of Gianna Gilstrap and Alex Shachtman, to propelled past the Raiders in the third set, with a 15-12 victory and a 2-1 match win.
Congratulations to all of the Lady Knights for a job well-done!
