Matt Gannon Invitational
Three runners earned medals, Luke Whitfill, Lukas Brodrick, and Isa Welty.
The Knights hosted the inaugural Matt Gannon cross country Invitational on Tuesday, and it was a huge success! We hosted 12 schools and 100+ runners. The visiting teams enjoyed the course, not to mention we had perfect racing weather. The official timing provided by KC Running company was also a nice addition this year!
We competed against some very strong schools, which will help us race more strategically, and push beyond our comfort zones. The Kearney Invitational will be very similar to this meet, as we will be racing against another multitude of strong and competitive teams. The goal is to get fitter mentally and physically, so we will be well-positioned going into Districts.
Isa Welty had yet another strong performance with a 10th place finish and a medal. The top finishers for the boys were Luke Whitfill and Lukas Brodrick. Luke Whitfill finished 5th and Lukas Brodrick finished 11th.
