Middle School FIRST Lego League Returns

Barstow is once again offering middle school students the opportunity to be part of a FIRST Lego League robotics team this year! Sign-ups will run through Tuesday, September 14.
Team members will design, build, test and program robots using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology. The will apply real-world math and science concepts, learn critical thinking, presentation, and practice team-building skills.

"FLL is a great introduction to programming and robotics and more importantly, it’s fun. It’s exciting. And the skills students learn will last a lifetime," middle and upper school STEAM director Gavin Wood said. "This is also a great way to get prepared to be part of Barstow's upper school robotics team in the coming years! Students with all different skill levels are welcome."
Barstow middle school teachers Erin Thornburgh and Amanda Lea will provide adult leadership, along with mentoring from Wood and experienced members of Barstow's upper school FIRST Robotics team.
