Robotics Team Brings GoBabyGo Back to Barstow

At the first Variety KC-sponsored GoBabyGo event in over a year, robotics students turned Barstow's Circle Drive into a driving track, and presented modified ride-on cars to four children with mobility challenges on Saturday, May 8.
Students worked tirelessly on Saturdays to modify two child-sized Wild Thing vehicles, a mini Maserati and a Dune Racer to ensure vehicles were ready for one of the program's biggest annual events.

The day was filled with sunshine and smiles as families gathered in front of the school to receive their new rides. Under the direction of Robotics Coach Gavin Wood and GoBabyGo’s Kendra Gagnon, families learned the best way to enjoy their new set of wheels.

Barstow is grateful to its partner, the Variety KC Children's Charity, who generously sponsors this event every year.
