Sophomore Finishes First in State Mathleague

Jay Lee, sophomore, placed first in the Missouri Mathleague high school contest on Tuesday, April 20, and qualified for the national championship.
Lee finished first in both competition categories, Sprint and Target. In Sprint competition, students have been 60 minutes to complete 30 multiple choice questions. The Target round consists of eight math questions given out in pairs, and students have ten minutes to complete each pair. 

Lee and his teammates, freshmen Sriram Pattabirman and Paranjay Sharma, finished third overall and Barstow finished fifth in sweepstakes for a great showing at the state level.
