Freshman fashion designer Kyanne Carlgren is once again designing a gown for the Bubble Ball for Wishes Sake, a charity event that benefits the Kansas and Missouri chapters of the Make-A-Wish foundation.
The in-person and virtual event is Friday, March 5, at 6 p.m. Make-A-Wish provides experiences and support for critically ill children.
Kyanne designed a gown and walked the runway in the 2019 Bubble Ball, where she won the fan favorite for her Hunger Games-inspired ball gown. Bubble Ball fashions are made of bubble wrap, recycled and other unusual materials. Her gown first appeared white, but after a transformation it turned into a black mockingbird gown that included 175 hand-cut fringe feather-like pieces held together with nuts and bolts.
For this year's show, Kyanne is designing a gown inspired by Snow White. She plans to include special effects and a few twists up her sleeve that are sure to be straight from a fairy tale. Watch Kyanne's interview with KCTV5 here and learn more about the Bubble Ball here.
