Cybersecurity Club Celebrates a Winning Season

The Cybersecurity Club is celebrating a winning season as the end of the year approaches.
The club has grown to twelve members that make up two teams who compete against students around the country to test computer security systems.

Team 1 reached Platinum Level, the highest level of the competition. Senior Tommy Cuezze helped found the club as a freshman and served as team captain this year. Senior Sam Colombo is a team leader in non-Windows platforms. Seniors Noah Waldman and Caleb Chang were also leading contributors. Junior Siddharth Jasti was the leading robotics programmer and worked on the Windows platforms. Sophomore Anders Hwang joined as a freshman and participated virtually this year.

Junior Grayson Martin, Team Captain and Cybersecurity Club President, led Team 2 to the Gold Level this year. It is the second highest level of the competition. Team 2 won first place in the Gold Level of the Open High School division for Missouri. Seniors Andrei Kolobrodov, Saketh Balmoori, Jed Scott and August Irwin were leading contributors, as well as sophomore Jay Lee during his first year on the team.

With several senior members graduating, the Cybersecurity Club hopes to grow and diversify teams next season. No experience is necessary to join. If you are interested in joining next year's Cybersecurity Club, please contact club advisor Scott Daniel.
