Middle School Musical Audition Instructions

Auditions for the middle school musical, Disney's "Alice in Wonderland JR," will be virtual this year. Here's how to submit forms, songs and monologues.
Students should fill out this Google form  form to sign up for auditions. Submitting this form will trigger emails to students and their parents with more information about the audition process, links to audition practice files, and instructions for uploading audition videos using Flipgrid. Forms are due by Monday, Nov. 9.

Students must submit their songs and monologues online by Wednesday, Nov. 11. For auditions, students will prepare a song and/or a monologue from the show as required for the part they choose. They may submit a new video for different characters, as many times as they choose. Students may receive a "callback" to sing another song or to read from the script Thursday, Nov. 12. Auditions do not need to be memorized. When students sing the song(s) we want to be able to hear them and the accompaniment in the recording.

SYNOPSIS: Travel down the rabbit hole and join Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventures.  Featuring updated songs from Disney’s thrilling animated motion picture, Disney’s Alice in Wonderland JR. is a fast-paced take on the classic tale. The ever-curious Alice’s journey begins innocently enough as she chases the White Rabbit.  Her adventures become increasingly more strange as she races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game! The Cheshire Cat serves as our narrator, introducing all the other characters.

  • Show dates are Jan. 22, 23, 24 and will be streamed online.
  • Any student in grades 6-8 may participate in the musical.
