Debate Posts Wins in Weekend Tournament
Competing over Halloween weekend dressed as characters from "Avatar: The Last Airbender," the upper school debate team used its powers to earn awards at the Iowa Caucus virtual tournament.
Seniors Phoebe Brous and Rishi Malay lead the way for the debate team's successful weekend, winning their quarterfinal debate and earning a bid to the Tournament of Champions. Brous and Malay finished third overall.
In the novice division, the team took three of the four top spots. Lia Adams and Liane Bdair finished second overall and won speaker awards.
