TALENT SHARES CONNECT IN-PERSON & AT-HOME STUDENTS
Middle and upper school students who are learning from home shared their talents in the lower school music room this week.
Lexi Dixon, senior, and Ashley Dixon, grade 8, sang a duet. Ethan Wood, grade 8, sang and played piano. Neena Shankar, grade 6, sang and played guitar.
Lower school music teacher Kristi Mitchell started weekly Talent Shares while campus was closed last spring as a way to build Barstow community and keep students connected during remote learning. Students in Ms. Mitchell’s music classes participate in one Talent Share day each quarter. Thursday's upper class visitors encouraged lower school students to participate in Talent Shares because it's fun and builds confidence.
