The largest group of mathletes in school history has qualified to compete at the regional Mathleague math contest in April — including 100 percent of participating grade 5 students!
Grade 5 math teacher Barb McAleer announced the results to a very supportive fifth grade class on Friday, Feb. 22. She introduced each of the thirteen students who took the test and moved on to the next round of competition as excited classmates cheered them on.
That’s not the only high mark for lower and middle school mathletes. The combined group of grade 4, 5 and 6 students whose scores qualified them to the next level is also the largest from a single school to attend one regional Mathleague site. The contest is Saturday, April 6, in Marysville.
Congratulations to each mathlete on this success.
