Grade 5 Combines Party with Purpose
Students in grade 5 turned their Halloween party into a community service project for Children's Mercy.
Students collected over 100 books for donation to the hospital within a three day window. After the school-wide costume parade, they made Halloween cards to accompany the delivery.
Fifth grade students are leaders of our lower school. They participate in student council, lead Friday Forums, volunteer as morning greeters and enjoy a buddy program with first grade. Along with learning to manage a schedule that includes multiple teachers and subjects, they study leadership and service as they prepare for increased responsibility and opportunity in middle school. Thank you, grade 5!
