Soloists Rank at District Music Contest
A group of string players and vocalists represented Barstow at the MSHSAA Solo and Small Ensemble Contest on Saturday, March 28 in Grain Valley.
The following soloists earned the highest possible rating, Exemplary (gold), and qualified for the state-level competition in April:
Amelia Kalahurka, sophomore – Cello
Henry McGinnity, freshman – Violin
Cole Mueller, junior – Voice
Sanjeev Adma, senior – Voice
Three students also earned an Outstanding (silver) rating:
Tarek Tuffaha, freshman – Violin
Nisah Hathiari, freshman – Voice
Matt Doss, junior – Voice
The state level competition takes place in late April in Columbia, Missouri.
