Freshmen Noah Dutton and Gui Tabuchi qualified for the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) National Tournament in policy debate.
At the district qualifier tournament, Noah and Gui went 3-1 in four preliminary rounds and earned a spot in the double-elimination bracket. They won their next two rounds, placing second in the district tournament and securing their spot at nationals. The first place team finished 4-0 and also won their next two rounds.
The NSDA National Tournament will be held June 14-19 in Richmond, Virginia. It includes a week of middle and high school level debate contests and competitions, with national champions announced on Friday, June 19.
