Wildwood Trip Connects Middle School Community
Eighth graders spent two days in the great outdoors at Wildwood Outdoor Education Center in La Cygne, Kansas, for an overnight experience filled with activities, challenges and community building.
Students took on ziplines, ropes courses and teambuilding challenges. They also practiced archery and paddled around in canoes and kayaks. Each activity gave students opportunities to work together, encourage each other and step outside their comfort zones. Spending this time together outside of their usual school routines gave students a chance to strengthen friendships and build new connections.
As the eighth graders prepare to enter upper school next year, experiences like this help build a strong sense of community and give students an opportunity to grow closer as a class.
