Barstow College Prep Program Goes Platinum

For a third consecutive year, The Barstow School has landed on the AP School Honor Roll at the platinum level, recognizing Advanced Placement programs that deliver results and broaden college participation.
The AP School Honor Roll highlights schools that are committed to building a college-going culture, increasing opportunities for students to earn college credit and preparing them for success beyond high school. Schools are recognized at four levels, based on student participation and success in AP programs: bronze, silver, gold and platinum.

AP courses challenge students academically and demonstrate to colleges a willingness to pursue the most challenging curriculum available to them. According to The College Board, the organization that oversees the Advanced Placement program, research indicates that students who earn a three or higher on an AP exam are more likely to succeed in college and complete a college degree.
