Lower School 4th & 5th Grade Science Opening

Exemplary teachers are Barstow’s greatest asset. The Grades 4 & 5 Science Candidate must possess enthusiasm and creativity and must exhibit pride in their profession and competency in their subject matter. In all aspects of life, candidates must be conscious of their position as role models for all students.
 
Successful candidates will combine a caring and understanding attitude with consistency, fairness, and patience. Ever conscious of the child’s self-esteem, they should be generous with praise and demonstrate an awareness of the developmental stages of their students, thus fostering mutual respect.

  • invest in the community and participate in the lives of our students outside of the classroom.
  • practice patience and empathy with young children.
  • have excellent communication skills.
  • be self-reflective, able to work independently, and committed to professional growth.
