International Admission Information

  • Boarding
    Boarding is available in homes with local host families. Barstow provides no student housing.
  • Interview
    Interviews are a required part of the application process for Barstow admission. To schedule an interview with the Admission Office, please email Director of Admission Joe Fox.
  • Testing
    We require all international applicants to submit formal test results for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
  • Visas
    The I-20 form, which is necessary to secure a student visa, will be sent to an accepted Barstow School international student upon our receipt of their contract, tuition deposit, an international student information form and the financial certification documentation form. Specific information on applying for an F-1 student visa can be obtained from the applicant’s nearest consulate or embassy, or by visiting the travel.state.gov webpage of the U.S. Department. 

International Admission Checklist

  • Completed application.
  • $100 USD international student application fee.
  • English, math, and teacher/mentor letters of recommendation
  • Complete school records, translated into English, if necessary.
  • Official results of Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
  • Official results of any additional educational testing.
  • An interview in person, by phone or video chat.
