In the Upper School you may see our students and teachers using technology in many ways on a given day:
- Art History students look closely at paintings in all parts of the world using a visual database.
- Chinese Language students move assignments back and forth using the school's email system.
- Students in our major publications (Yearbook, Newspaper, and our Literary Magazine) and our internet news channel BTVN produce high quality work in an entirely digital format.
- Astronomy students view the sky from the North Pole (using planetarium software) and do all work without a single piece of paper.
- Programming students learn HTML, Java, and can take AP Computer Science
- All classes use Word, Powerpoint, and many other pieces of software in every class at Barstow.
As with the rest of the campus, Barstow's Upper School has a high-speed wireless network available to all students and faculty.
