Gayla L. Honeycutt, after a lengthy battle Gayla slipped the ties that bound her to this mortal plain and stepped peacefully into that good night on Nov. 26, 2023.
Gayla is survived by her husband, James Richard Honeycutt; a daughter, Jennie N. Pollard; son-in-law, Steve Pollard; and grandsons, Liam and Aiden; as well as her beloved puppy, Winston. Yvonne Annette Rosser passed away on November 10, 2023. Yvonne began her career at Barstow in 1980 and retired in 2008. She taught lower school art for 28 years at Barstow and was an honorary alum.
Jane Moore '45 was born in Topeka, KS, to Dr. and Mrs. Mark H. Perrin. She graduated from The Barstow School in Kansas City, Missouri. She passed away peacefully at home in San Antonio at age 95. Arey Thompson Baas '54 passed away on October 7, 2023, surrounded by her children at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.
She is survived by her three children, Steven Baas and his wife Sally, Sarah Conkling and her husband Rick, Scott Baas and his wife Sharon, four grandchildren, and great-grandchild Charlotte, as well as her sister Nancy Dods '56.
Louis Davout "Nick" Bolton II served as a Barstow trustee for 2 years. Mr. Bolton, just shy of 100 years, died peacefully at home in Birmingham on September 11, 2023. Left behind to cherish his memory and pass on his stories are his children, Louis D. Bolton III (Dave '73) of Birmingham; Elizabeth (Tibby '74) Christenberry of Nashville; Victoria (Tori) Rice of Moorestown, NJ; Katherine (Kit) Casey of Norwell, MA; James A. (Jim) Bolton (Ginny) of Birmingham, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Jane Ann McNew Moran '58 was 81 when she passed away on September 7, 2022, in Estero, Florida. She is survived by her spouse Jospeh Moran, her brother William McNew of St.Louis, Missouri, and many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Dr. William T. and Martha McNew of Carthage, Missouri.

Michael Steele Bright Churchman died Aug. 16, 2022 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, at age 93. He graduated in 1950 from Wesleyan University (B.A., history), and later earned degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Harvard University. Boyd Morrison '85 recently spent five days filming Miranda's Victim directed by Michele Danner, located in New Jersey. Boyd plays a bailiff, which was an extra featured role. He notes that although this was not a speaking role, you'll see his face clearly several times in a pivotal courtroom scene.
Ethan Doskey '18 submitted his play Past, Wrapped for review at The Theatre School at DePaul University during his junior year and recently received the news that his play will be showcased as a studio production. The show collides psychological drama with the genres of thrillers, "memory plays," absurdism, trance film, documentary, and film noir.
Barstow siblings Boyd Morrison '85 and Beth Morrison '86 are excited to announce their new book, "The Lawless Land" that they co-wrote together. Their book will be released on May 12th.
