  • George Whitehill

    Class of 2019
    George Whitehill '19 was honored at the National Philanthropy Day from the Association of Fundraising Professionals at the 2019 awards. Gavin worked closely with GoBabyGo to develop motorized vehicles for children who are disabled, and Happy Bottoms to record stories of how important it is for families to receive supplies for their infants.

    Class of 2008
    Whitney Manney '08 is making fashion into art in Kansas City. She recently sat down with women-owned businesses blogspot "A Real Nice Lady" to talk about making statements with fashion and creating a brand that's as unapologetic as she is. On top of that, she is a top 20 finalist for the first JOANN Minority Group program.
  • Dr. Ingrid Hall

    Class of 1980
    Dr. Ingrid Hall ’80 is an epidemiologist for the Center for Disease Control who worked on special assignment on the CDC's COVID-19 response team contact this summer. Read her profile in the Fall 2020 Barstow School Alumni Magazine.

    Class of 2014
    Madison Coker ’14 is engaged and will marry Brian Trigg in February of 2021. Congratulations!

    Sarah Elyachar ’16 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lake Forest College on Saturday, May 9, 2020. She majored in business with a concentration in accounting and a minor in educational studies.

    Sophia Mauro ’16 graduated from Georgetown University and is headed for Ankara, Turkey to begin working for the U.S. State Department.

    Jeff Penner ’88 joined Mr. Downs’ science classes to speak about weather patterns via zoom as Barstow’s virtual classes began in spring 2020.

    Class of 2007
    Brady Legler ’07, a renowned artist and jewelry designer, provided some much needed stress relief by releasing different pictures for fans to color during the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Class of 2005
    Elyse Nelson ’05 Assistant Curator of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts at The Met, joined Mark Luce’s Art History class to discuss her role in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s acquisition of Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux’s “Pourquoi Naître Esclave!”
  • John Pryor

    Class of 1998
    John Pryor '98 is back in Kansas City and creating urban tree-to-table furniture at his new company, Madison Flitch. He's also manufacturing masks and donates on to frontline COVID-19 workers for every purchase.
