Walk for Kindness Draws Hundreds
Middle and upper school students and faculty gathered at the track Thursday, April 25, for a two- lap Kindness Walk, hosted by the SevenDays Kindness Club.
Club members began the event with their own act of kindness, handing out stickers and candy.
This student club is affiliated with SevenDays, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to bring awareness to the power of kindness. SevenDays was formed by the families of three individuals who lost their lives at the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park in 2014. Based on the idea that kindness is just as powerful as hate, the organization’s slogan “Make a ripple, change the world” reflects their mission to increase kindness through knowledge, mindset and behavior.
